Under the IF, Cape Verde undertook a Diagnostic Trade Integration Study ("DTIS") mission in September 2007. The DTIS, "Cape Verde's Insertion in the Global Economy" was completed and validated in December 2008. At the beginning of 2008, Cape Verde graduated from LDC status, but following the EIF Board Decision on graduating countries, the EIF has initiated dialogue with the Government of Cape Verde to understand the state of play in the DTIS Action Matrix implementation, and, to identify any possible need for support by the EIF.
