The EIF activities in Eritrea are on hold following the decision of the IF Working Group on 16 January 2003; "The Group accepted the decision of the Government of Eritrea to take a pause at this time. In line with the established technical review procedures, a decision to resume IF operations in the country will be based on a World Bank review of the macroeconomic and policy environment including the identification of a Lead Facilitator".
