The film, 'Trade Works: boosting livelihoods, building futures,' by the EIF with production by Lucas Duran and José Carlos Alexandre, captures a range of human stories showing how trade is changing people's lives and opening up opportunities in some of the poorest countries worldwide, including for local businesses in Liberia, rural women's cooperatives in Mali and Lesotho, and handicraft associations in Lao PDR. The short version of the film was trailed during the Fourth United Nations Conference on Least Developed Countries and at the Unknown Cinemas Film Festival, 9-13 May, Istanbul. The full version of the film was premiered during the Third Global Review on Aid for Trade, 18-19 July, Geneva. Copies of the film (in English, French and Portuguese) are available on request.
