The aim of the project is to strengthen the capacity of institutions and stakeholders in Tuvalu to formulate and implement trade policies that support poverty reduction, inclusive growth and sustainable development.

 Results

• Supporting Government participation in national, regional and global meetings on trade discussions and capacity building for trade‑related policy formation and implementation.
• Developing training for Government personnel in conjunction with the implementation of the TPF.
• The 2015 Talofa Trade Fair with the theme “Business is Tuvalu’s future” was successfully held over a two‑week period.
• Significant progress was made in preparing Tuvalu’s initial market access offers to be tabled at the 14th Intersessional Meeting of the PACER Plus trade negotiations scheduled for March 2016 in Australia.
